Within this unit we offer all the main services in Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearing related to your imported or exported goods.
From the date that you have placed an order with your supplier we will manage and facilitate the time of manufacture, collection or delivery to vessel, shipment, insurance, customs clearing and delivery of your goods.
We have decided to get first get the training in this field before we would offer the services to you.
International Freight Forwarding
If you import cargo by air, we will, with your order details contact your supplier, arrange for the collection of the cargo and arrange the shipping to the Port in Cape Town.
If you import cargo by sea, we will, with your order details and when the goods are ready, contact your supplier and arrange for the collection of the cargo, movement to their closest port, ship to the Cape Town port.
If you have ordered cargo via Cape Mail (Post Office) we would track and trace, Customs clear, collect and deliver these parcels to you.
CGI Logistics will provide "all inclusive" quotations or cost estimates for orders on any of the main import terms ie. Ex Works, FOB, CIF or C & F for all LCL (Loose cargo load) or FCL (Full container load) or Airfreight consignments.
Handling at origin by our preferred worldwide agents.
On arrival and even before, we will start to arrange for the clearance of your cargo via the online customs clearing system (Compuclearing) ie. getting the SAD500 entry submitted and ultimately released.
If Customs should stop the cargo for inspection we will organise the examination with Customs, be personally present, and get the cargo approved and released.
Once we have the release we will collect the cargo from the Port or Shipping Line, Airline or Cape Mail and deliver to your premises or warehouse.
